Job Description:

Responsibilities include:

BEE scorecard calculation, review, deep analysis, and high-quality presentation to clients
Generate or review complex BEE scorecards, including the ownership element
Evaluate B-BBEE ownership transactions and determine the impact on the ownership scorecard
Provide verification support to clients
Gap analysis and competitor analysis
Discuss scorecard results with clients in a professional manner
Identify additional tasks and information to be obtained
Finalise scorecard for presentation to clients
Assist with liaison between Verification Agency and clients
Technical B-BBEE and transformation advisory and training
Conduct B-BBEE and transformation training for clients
Answer client technical queries
Assess fronting risk
Write technical opinions
Work with the AP technical committee to formulate opinions
Keep up to date with the latest policy development and BEE and Sector Code amendments
Perform complex calculations such as Ownership, Sale of Assets
Continued Consequence, all element target calculations including EAP
Ownership advisory
Evaluate the B-BBEE impact of debt and hybrid debt instruments
Advise on various ownership transaction options
Quality transformation strategy development and implementation support
Conceptualise service/project scope based on client requirements
Conduct baseline and competitor analysis
Develop strategic options and scenarios (Compliance and beyond compliance considerations)
Write up strategies and action plans
Assist clients with implementation of strategies and action plans
Monitor project status updates
Provide feedback to management on progress against client proposals
Cross-sell AP services to clients
Follow up on leads and turn them into proposals timeously
Client relationship and project management
Managing allocated client relationships (client facing)
Managing project delivery (client facing)
Managing project team (Internal)
Co-responsible for operational efficiency in the client-facing business
Reporting back to the Committee on project leads, proposals, and project progress
Contributing to the AP service offering
May be required to perform related tasks on a needs basis, including bespoke client work, business administrative work, and participate in team events
Preferably have an established network within the B-BBEE arena

Qualifications:

BCom Hons Accounting or similar required
Strong mathematical and analytical ability
Accounting and financial experience (preferred)
Intermediate to Advanced MS Office, i.e. Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, etc.
B-BBEE legislation on an advanced level
Beyond scorecard understanding of transformation policy and developmental issues in South Africa
Understanding of B-BBEE Ownership transactions
Strategy development and implementation
