Duties & Responsibilities
As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our microlending operations in your assigned area. You will manage a team of loan officers, ensure efficient and profitable loan distribution, and execute our mission to transform lives through access to finance. - Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve microlending targets in the designated area
- Construct and manage an efficient loan officer team, ensuring compliance with lending policies and best practices
- Drive loan portfolio growth through effective marketing and business development strategies
- Monitor loan collections and implement strategies to minimize defaults
- Foster relationships with local communities, partners, and stakeholders to enhance our presence and promote financial inclusion
- Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends, assess market demand, and identify potential opportunities for expansion
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to the loan officer team
- Collaborate with the leadership team to streamline operational processes, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare area-level reports, including loan disbursement, recovery, and portfolio performance, for review by the senior management
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric
- Proven track record in managing a microlending/microloans portfolio or related field
- Strong knowledge of microfinance principles, practices, regulations, and standards in the assigned area
- Experience in team management, including coaching, performance evaluation, and capacity building
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Sound proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office Suite
Package & Remuneration
R400 000 CTC to R600 000 CTC per annum based on experience and qualifications
