Join us as a Category Manager in Procurement, where you'll be instrumental in optimizing the procurement process for base oils, additives, packaging, compounds, backing plates, equipment, adhesives, and chemicals.
Key Responsibilities
- Market analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, assess supplier capabilities, and stay abreast of industry developments.
- Utilize data analytics tools to analyze procurement data and derive actionable insights for enhanced efficiency.
- Category Strategies:
- Develop and implement robust, long-term category strategies aligned with overall Lubricants and Friction strategy and organizational goals.
- Anticipate market shifts and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain agility.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on category strategies and effective communication.
- Category management:
- Foster strong supplier relationships through Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while upholding quality standards.
- Manage product lifecycle and contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance and availability of high-quality products.
- Performance Management:
- Optimize product assortment and monitor key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to keep them informed of procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the procurement process.
Minimum Requirements
- Post-matric qualification in Supply Chain/Logistics/Procurement.
- CIPS Level 4 and above certification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement/supply chain experience, including managerial roles.
- Proficiency in MS Office, E1 (JDE)/SAP, Pastel, and P2P systems.
- Ability to interface with customers at Director/Managerial Level.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
- Solution-oriented with initiative and accountability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and analytical mindset.
- Strong negotiation skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Adaptability to fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
