As the Tower Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and infrastructure to ensure the smooth functioning of all network equipment.
Duties:
- Ensure equipment maintenance by conducting inspections and repairs on telecommunication equipment installed on towers.
- Set up and configure network equipment and antennas to ensure optimal network performance.
- Identify and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain network reliability.
- Ensure that all work adheres to safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other engineering and technical teams to optimize network performance, resolve complex issues, and implement upgrades or expansions.
Tower Engineer Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience in telecommunications or construction.
- Proficiency in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Mikrotik and Ubiquiti equipment.
- Fall protection and rescue training - Certification demonstrating the ability to safely climb and work at heights.
- A foundational understanding of networking principles, protocols, and configurations, which may include knowledge of IP addressing, routing, and network troubleshooting.
- CPR and first aid certifications a plus.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Comfortable working at heights in various weather conditions.
