Job Specification
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:
- Performing customer accounts on Xero
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Preparation of annual financial statements
- Preparation of month-end and year-end reconciliations
- Liaising with customers regarding their business and assisting them in making financial decisions
- Management of annual audits (where applicable)
- Payroll processing
- Bi-annual employer reconciliations
- Workman's compensation and RMA submissions
- Calculations of provisional tax and income tax (companies and individuals)
- Submissions of VAT201, EMP201, ITR14, ITR12, IRP6
- Other administrative tasks
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA articles.
- Good understanding of financial accounting and taxation with practical experience with:
- SARS systems and processes
- EMP501 reconciliations
- Provisional tax calculations
- Drafting of AFS
- Year-end processes, working papers, and journals.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software, Xero and Market Place.
- Experience in managing a team of 1 – 2 team members/clerks.
- Experience in reviewing management accounts, financial statements, and financial/SARS letters.
- Experience in client communication; interfacing; and meetings.
- Excellent written and spoken skills.
- Not hesitant to give advice and trust own judgement.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills.
- Responsible and deadline-driven.

- Afrikaans and English proficient.
