Who This Role Is For:
This role is ideal for young adults, university students, and experienced or aspiring tutors based in South Africa looking for part-time remote work to supplement their income.

Available Shifts in South African Standard Time:
- Mon-Fri 06:00-14:00
- Mon-Fri 12:00-20:00
- Mon-Fri 16:00-00:00
- Sat & Sun 06:00-14:00
- Sat & Sun 12:00-20:00
- Sat & Sun 16:00-00:00
Points To Note:
- The classes are booked two weeks in advance within your chosen shift (see above).
- You have the opportunity to pick up additional classes outside of your scheduled shift when available.
- All lesson material is provided.
- All students are adults.
- Should your application and interview be successful we will ask you to attend a 1 day online training session and present a short demo lesson to our quality and training team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide students while delivering English lessons based on a well-developed curriculum and teaching methodology.
- Engage and encourage students positively throughout the lesson.
- Manage a classroom and provide feedback to students on their language proficiency.
Minimum requirements:
- A matric/high school diploma is required
- A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate is required
- Great command of the English language (accent neutral)
- Computer literate and able to troubleshoot
Technical Requirements:
PC specifications:
- Processor: Intel Core i5 CPU @2.40GHz (4 CPUs) or greater
- Memory: 8GB RAM or greater
Backup power:
- Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life of up to 4-5 hours (or willing to purchase before commencing teaching). This is a non-negotiable requirement.
- A separate mini power supply system to power your fiber router as an independent system.
Internet Connection:
- A stable FIBRE internet connection - at a minimum of 25 mbps upload and download speeds
- PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection
- PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ACCEPT WIFI, 5G OR LTE CONNECTIONS
Other:
- Noise-cancelling headsets
- HD web camera.
- Back-up headset is highly recommended
- Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment
