Project Manager
Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of project lifecycles and industry best practices.
As Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's adherence to contractual obligations, encompassing technical specifications, delivery timelines, cost management, and quality assurance. Your expertise will be instrumental in maximizing profitability while upholding the integrity of our operations, fostering strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients alike.
Overall Purpose of the Job:
- Ensure that the company fulfills its contractual obligations in terms of technical content, time, cost, specification, and quality delivery period.
- Acquire all budgeted profits without neglecting or enhancing integrity by aligning cost supplies and creating further opportunities on the contract under your custodianship.
- Liaise with all suppliers and subcontractors within engineering; liaison with clients/customers on all payment matters.
- Ensure proper control of all risks and manage in an efficient manner to the satisfaction of the client, customers of the contract, or end user.
- Ensure that the company meets its contractual obligations and is fully aware of commitments.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with overseas suppliers.
- Monitor performance and quality of production work.
- Be fully conversant with technical specifications and meet engineering support where required.
- Issue work instructions with complete and correct supporting documents to sub-contractors.
- Order overseas material within one week of receiving the order book.
- Maintain ongoing contact with overseas suppliers and the Purchasing Department.
- Ensure any authorized changes to documentation are made in a manner which will ensure quality standards.
- Manage the contract according to budget, justifying any changes without compromising quality or build time.
- Keep complete financial and commercial records of the contract, participating in developing marketing systems and procedures.
- Submit tender entries, ensuring price competitiveness and adherence to specifications.
- Perform other duties as instructed, adhering to reasonable requests from superiors or subordinates.
Qualifications:
- T6/B in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current).
- Fully conversant with NEC and FIDIC contracts.
Experience:
- 10 years of Project Management experience in Electrical Projects, Quality Assurance, and Commercial Contracting Conditions exposure.
Training Requirements:
- Microsoft Office.
- Syspro.
- MS Project Management and Control.
