Our client a leading Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), is looking to expand their team with a dynamic and organized Legal Secretary/Company Secretarial Assistant. This role is a unique opportunity to work closely with our Company Secretary, supporting key functions within our organization. The company is based in Centurion. Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary or Company Secretarial Assistant who will report directly to the Company Secretary. The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skills, with experience in legal or company secretarial support. This role requires someone capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Key Responsibilities: General administration and filing Compilation of board packs for meetings Collation of signatures on documents such as resolutions and agreements Attending to CIPC filings Maintaining company registers, including a resolutions register Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Providing excellent organizational and administrative support to ensure smooth operations Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders Qualifications & Experience: Legal Secretarial Certificate/Diploma from a recognized institution Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel , and Outlook Experience with legal document management systems (e.g., LexisNexis, LegalSuite) is advantageous Strong typing skills (50 words per minute) and experience with legal documents 3 to 5 years of experience for mid-level roles, handling legal documents, assisting with CIPC filings, maintaining company registers, and supporting board processes Familiarity with corporate governance requirements and CIPC filings is beneficial Soft Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive legal information Team player with the ability to work independently when needed If you meet the above requirements and are interested in this opportunity, please send your resume and a cover letter.
