We are seeking a Project Nurse to provide leadership and coordination of projects, programs, innovation and research activities designed to improve nursing engagement and performance and standards of patient/client care in the North West region of Tasmania.

The Role:
- Provide leadership and coordination of projects, programs, innovation and research activities designed to improve nursing engagement and performance and standards of patient/client care in the North West region of Tasmania.
- Provide support and assistance to the Executive Director of Nursing/Midwifery - North West (EDONM) and the North West Nursing Midwifery Executive in the review and development of North West Nursing Division strategic direction, policies and protocols.
- Work collaboratively and innovatively with the Nursing Director – Excellence in Care and Culture (ND ECC) to build on workforce reputation, engagement, recognition and service innovation.
- Identify emerging trends and development opportunities within practice areas.
The Team:
Working with like-minded nursing and midwifery professionals, the Project Nurse – Strategic Support and Innovation will progress the strategic direction and priorities of the Nursing Division of the North West. As part of the Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery Office, and working collaboratively with the Hospitals North West Executive leadership team, this role has a direct and significant impact on Hospitals and Primary Care North West outcomes.
Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 2 December 2024.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Eligibility:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
