Our client, a reputable Mechanical and Electrical Engineering company in the packaging industry, is seeking an Industrial Control & Automation Programmer with advanced PLC programming skills to join their team in Lanseria, Johannesburg. This role requires a hands-on professional experienced in designing, developing, installing, and commissioning automation systems within the food and beverage packaging environment. Education: BEng Electrical Engineering Job Experience & Skills Required: Minimum 2 years of PLC program development (beyond commissioning and fault finding) Fully competent in Siemens Simatic Software, TIA, and experience with VSD setup Electrical schematic and circuit design, preferably with E-Plan and AutoCAD Develop, manage, and fault-find PLC programs using Siemens Simatic Software and TIA (Siemens S7-300/1500 PLCs); Allen Bradley knowledge is advantageous Design and develop electrical schematics for control panels, ideally on E-Plan, with flexibility in other platforms Program HMI interfaces on WinCC and TIA; experience with other HMI platforms is beneficial Set up VSDs and manage communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet, ASI, Canbus, Device Net) PLC programming (Siemens/Mitsubishi/Allen Bradley) Software development in accordance with the clients specifications Commissioning and handover Apply now For more engineering jobs, please visit If you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
