Job brief A start-up company in Lynnwood is looking for a Data Engineer to join their company and help grow their data engineering competency. Minimum Education: BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field Minimum Experience: 2 years' experience in a similar role Requirements and skills Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python) Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka would be a bonus Knowledge of database management systems, both relational (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) Experience in building or maintaining ETL processes Familiarity with data integration and analytical tools, such as Azure Synapse Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Responsibilities Work closely with a cross-functional team to help build complex algorithms that provide unique insights into our data Model front-end and back-end data sources to help draw a more comprehensive picture of user flows throughout the system and to enable powerful data analysis Build data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources Develop models that can be used to make predictions and answer questions for the overall business
