Job Specification & Key Responsibilities Health and Safety The active promotion of the company safety culture through example and management of people Ensure that safety takes precedence in any conflict with time, cost or quality Maintain high standard of safety for all work activities Personnel Supervise and provision of guidance and leadership to his / her project team/s Ensure that internal stakeholders associated with the project understand and deliver company expectations That client and company requirements are effectively communicated to all personnel Business That all operations are carried out in accordance with the company management system (including Greenro s QHSE ISO Portal), policy objectives and statutory and contractual requirements The implementation of the company management systems for health, safety, the environment and quality That all work is completed to the Client's satisfaction, within budget Establishing and maintaining working relationships and effective communication with clients and the business General Responsible for management of project specific deliverables Ensuring that all Project Management Tools are kept up to date, including Progress Reports, Programs, Cost Control Sheets and Risk/Issue Registers Understanding design and installation requirements from documents (drawings, specifications, correspondence, etc.) Assess cost effectiveness of projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to budget as the project develops Utilizing cost monitoring and reporting tools/systems as required to track spend on budgeted materials, sub-contractors, operational expenses as well as resource hours costs. Management of all internal and external stakeholders expectations including external stakeholders (Client reporting, Programmes, Risk and Issue registers, billing) as well as internal stakeholders (budgeting, forecasts on costing and billing, earned revenue, profit and loss, progress reporting) Creation of variation orders and following these up with the Client for any out-of-scope work that is being requested Contractual management and controlling of the project (whether FIDIC, JBCC, GCC or NEC) Ensuring adequate integration of all key organizational streams required to support the project execution within the PMO. These streams include amongst others the Engineering stream, Workshop and Installations stream, Procurement / Warehouse stream as well as SHEQ stream. Provide weekly feedback to the PMO Manager regarding progress on scope, quality, costs incurred, as well as risks & issues applicable to his / her project Liaison with the Project Administrator to ensure the purchase of correct equipment Ensure the control and configuration of site documentation in accordance with the Drawing Manual. Ensuring all site amendments are reviewed and approved by the design team and incorporated Identification of potential hazards and the production of Risk Assessments / Method Statements required to ensure the safe undertaking of electrical and mechanical installation work Ensure generation of all pre commissioning documentation. Lead the commissioning process in accordance with the commissioning plan Liaison with the sub-contractors for all work activities as required Ensure coordination of 'as built' drawings from site to designers to final. All in accordance with Client Procedures and Requirements Ensure generation and close-out of the Project snag list Undertake Specific Client Training as required to fulfil role Project Manager previously a Project Engineer with Technical Experience Start Date January 2025 Reports to: Managing Director Job Purpose: To manage, monitor and control quality, finances, timelines and scope of a project/s, through managing a multi-disciplined team of engineers / technicians / electricians. Professional Membership Preferred Project Management Accreditation (SACPCMP and/or PMP) Required: Qualifications Matric (Grade 12) ND(Eng) or B Degree in Electrical Engineering Project Management Qualification (Minimum NQF Level 6) Drivers Licence & Own car Required: Experience 5-7 years project engineering or management in industrial projects 5-7 years of plant maintenance or installations work 3-5 years experience in Design, Electrical & Project Engineering Required: Knowledge § Project management knowledge § Proficiency in Microsoft Office package and MS Projects Contracts Management (FIDIC, GCC, NEC, JBCC)
