Global medical company requires a Medical Sales Consultant to join their team in the Free State for sales of capital equipment to new and existing clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Matric
- Medical and/or Sales and Marketing tertiary qualification would be advantageous
- At least 3-5 years’ work experience in a similar role in the Health Care Industry, with proven sales track record with capital equipment
- Minimum 5 years sales experience including capital medical devices
- Understanding of Private and Government processes
- Customer service orientated and focused
- Valid driver’s license and reliable own vehicle
- Ability to work independently
- Available outside of normal office hours, as per customer requirements
- Champion and drive forward the growth of the business within the designated territory by developing relationships with key influencers
- Provide specialist capital and clinical support to key customers/clinicians to provide the best possible solutions for patient care
- Promote the complete range
- Achieve sales targets
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers
- Build relationships with potential customers for developing new business and analyzing needs
- Sales reporting on activities, planners, rolling forecasts, competitors info, market share, install base, and database maintenance
- Develop and effectively manage a sales pipeline
- Effective territory coverage and analysis
- Frequent assessments in all wards of hospitals and other medical facilities
- Customer needs development through frequent demos and customer education
- Commissioning (installation of products) at customers
- In-service training on all products sold, considering shift changes of hospital staff
- Provide customers with solutions
- Provide feedback on future buying trends
- Represent the company at trade exhibitions, symposiums, events, and demonstrations
- Liaise with operations department to check on the progress of existing orders
- Keep up to date with product knowledge as well as all competitor products
- Administrative Duties:
- Record sales and order information and conduct analysis
- Maintain and communicate weekly planner and daily activities completed and outcomes/actions to follow up on
- Maintain accurate customer database
- CRM
- Forecasting
- Effectively manage accounts receiving processes
Package & Remuneration
Monthly plus Basic + Cell + Car allowance + medical aid + pension + commission
