The Paid Media Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Plan and execute advertising campaigns on all social media marketing platforms and search engines;
- Build shopping campaigns, brand awareness and analyze performance, identifying strategic opportunities, facilitating change in order to hit and exceed expectations and KPIs;
- Develop an attribution strategy between the marketing channels and set up an optimal budget allocation;
- Analyze and monitor focus keywords and the competition in the SERP in order to appear in the first results of the search. Assist and direct creatives execution, campaign set up (understanding customer journeys, segmentation, targeting, bidding etc.) and campaign analysis as well as day-to-day management of campaigns;
- Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities for the branded and non-branded;
- Research and implement content recommendations for organic SEO success;
- Use web analytics tools to monitor the performance, make recommendations for improvement and demonstrate effective return on investment (ROI).
The Successful Applicant
The preferred Paid Media Specialist will fit the following profile:
- Marketing or related degree or diploma;
- 3 - 5 years of experience executing and/or leading digital marketing programs for a retail brand with an e-commerce and physical store;
- An in-depth knowledge of the technologies and processes involved in running Paid Social campaigns;
- Vast experience in leading campaign operations across multiple channels and products preferable in e-commerce, marketplace or e-commerce arm of retail companies;
- Deep expertise and knowledge in digital strategy, omnichannel, digital culture and agile process;
- 2 years of experience with Search Console and Google Keyword Planner;
- Good understanding of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, Semrush, etc.;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and communicate with a wide range of non-technical and low technology literacy stakeholders and customers;
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, UX, CRO, Mobile Business, and Digital Analytics;
- Hands-on experience in ROAS optimization, digital media planning, tracking and conversion funnel optimization;
- Must be based in Gauteng.
