Key Responsibilities: Project Coordination: Plan, schedule, and supervise electrical installation projects. Ensure that all projects are completed according to the project plan, within the allocated budget, and on time. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of projects. Supervision of Work: Oversee the daily activities of electricians and installation teams. Provide technical guidance and support to team members. Ensure that all electrical installations meet industry standards and regulations. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality and safety of electrical installations. Identify and rectify any issues or defects in the installation process. Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards. Health and Safety: Enforce health and safety regulations on-site. Conduct safety briefings and training for the installation team. Ensure that all team members use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of project progress, including work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered. Prepare and submit reports on project status to management. Handle documentation related to permits, inspections, and approvals. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with the installation process. Address any concerns or questions raised by clients regarding the installation. Installations Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. Assist with all normal workshop tasks if not on-site including wiring/testing electrical equipment. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Be involved in Installations of electrical equipment. Assist with commissioning. Fault finding on electrical systems. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as MCCs. QUALIFICATIONS Matric (Grade 12) ND in Electrical Engineering 3 Phase Wiremans License IE (Non-negotiable) Master Electrician (Advantage) Project Management Certificate (Advantage) First Aid Level 1 (Advantage) ORHVS Certificate (Advantage) EXPERIENCE 5 Years experience in electrical areas within a construction environment. 3 years' Electrical Experience in Panel Wiring. 3-5 Years' Fault Finding & Repairs. Knowledge of Schneider & Siemens electrical products would be advantageous. Knowledge of Electrical systems functional design analyses would be advantageous. Knowledge of Electrical systems, especially MCCs. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and Outlook. Valid Drivers License.
