The purpose of this role will be to take responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and running the finance activities for the division, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations.
This position will report directly to the Regional Financial Manager.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop financial well-being of division by providing full spectrum of financial services
- Review and interpret monthly management accounts, and further recommendations
- Analyse and identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities, and assist with strategic analysis and planning
- Establish finance and operational strategies
- Review and sign off on journals
- Assessment and implementation of internal controls
- Prepare inter-divisional reconciliations
- Review head office and operational GL reconciliations
- Manage banking and treasury functions
- Prepare annual financial statements
- Consolidation of budget templates
- Assist with the implementation of new systems
- Support project analysis and the validation of plans
Education:
- Completed BCom Finance or Accounting Degree
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles, with 1 to 2 years post-articles experience
- OR 3 to 4 years' experience within manufacturing or mining industries
- Plant or factory industry experience essential
- Experience with cost control and financial analysis
