THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced, innovative Product Designer to join our dynamic Product team on a 6-month contract. As the Product Designer, you will play a vital role in shaping the visual and user experience of various software products we create and invest in. You’ll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design products that are intuitive, effective, and valuable for users. We are open to both seasoned designers and passionate, driven newcomers who demonstrate strong creative skills.
You’ll be empowered to bring your ideas to life, using design to communicate effectively with stakeholders including product teams, engineers, and end-users. You’ll also be encouraged to share knowledge within the team, enhancing both your own growth and that of your peers.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Design : Collaborate with product managers, developers, and writers to design features and products end-to-end, balancing UX and UI to create user-friendly experiences.
Conceptualization & Prototyping : Translate complex design problems into intuitive solutions by conceptualizing, wireframing, and prototyping customer-centric experiences.
UX to UI Translation : Design experiences for multiple platforms (Android, iOS, web), producing development-ready designs that are both visually appealing and functionally robust.
Branding : Create visual assets that define and strengthen brand identity and product storytelling.
User Advocacy : Be the voice of the user, ensuring that design choices meet their needs and expectations. Defend design solutions you believe in, backed by user research and feedback.
User Research & Testing : Conduct desk and field research, user interviews, and usability testing to iterate and refine designs.
Design Systems : Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of our internal design system and reusable component libraries.
Experimentation : Run design experiments and validate ideas to drive evidence-based product improvements.
Continuous Learning : Stay up-to-date with design trends and tools to bring innovative ideas and practices to the team.
YOUR BACKGROUND AND SKILLS
Must Have:
- Proven end-to-end UX and UI product design experience for Android, iOS, and web .
- Strong portfolio showcasing a clear design process and measurable impact of your work.
- Expertise in Figma (essential), including familiarity with its latest features and updates.
- Strong skills in creative problem solving, interaction design, and prototyping.
- Ability to conduct user research, user testing, and translate findings into actionable design decisions.
- Agile team experience, with excellent communication skills for discussing, articulating, and defending design choices.
- Working knowledge of design systems, including Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines .
- Tech Acumen : Basic understanding of technical aspects to collaborate effectively with developers.
Nice to Have:
- 3+ years of product design experience.
- Familiarity with tools like Miro and Adobe Suite .
- Skills in illustration, animation, motion design , or 3D design.
- Relevant certification or coursework in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) , Product Design , or User-Centered Design principles.
