Key Responsibilities:
- This position is for an experienced merchandise planner that will be based in the Sustainable design department within the TFG Design Centre.
- This role performs the central liaison between all stakeholders i.e. external designers, retail buying team, internal design teams and production units.
- Responsible to educate and mentor designers on how to produce garments for a big retail team from concept through to bulk order delivery.
- Convert into our technical specs, job allocations on our central computer systems such as PLM Centric and ISYNC to facilitate proper planning at factory level.
- Documenting cost of time and resources spent on project, capturing on the BBBEE scorecard programme and publish year to date spend against the approved yearly budget.
- Able to take initiative and drive the process and timeline adherence.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in clothing production or design
- Minimum 2-5 year experience in a clothing manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Centric system will be beneficial but not essential
