Job Description:
We're seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to join our core team at Reveal. In this role, you'll be instrumental in growing our research proposition by leveraging data to provide clients with relevant, differentiated research and solutions. You'll dive deep into complex datasets, uncover unique insights, and support our customers in making data-driven decisions that drive their business forward.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Consumer Behavior Analysis:
- Analyze the purchasing behavior of real consumers in (near) real-time to identify trends and insights.
- Segment consumer data by various demographics, income groups, and other relevant criteria to understand spending patterns.
- Market Research and Investment Analysis:
- Provide ad-hoc data, analytics, and insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide proactive and differentiated research by analyzing market activities and consumer spending.
- Track the relative performance of different retail sectors and identify key drivers of market trends.
- Dashboard Development and Maintenance:
- Develop and maintain detailed dashboards documenting market activity and performance across various retail sectors.
- Ensure dashboards provide clear and actionable insights to clients, helping them track their company’s and competitors' performance.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with data engineers to ensure data quality and availability.
- Collaborate with analysts to provide data insights that support customer strategies and decision-making.
- Data Quality and Validation:
- Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Implement data quality best practices to maintain high standards of data integrity.
- Integration of New Data Sources:
- Work with data engineers to integrate new data sources into the analysis ecosystem.
- Validate and test new data sources to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
- Document and design automated checks to ensure data quality.
- Leverage new data sources to enhance the depth and breadth of analysis.
- Predictive Modeling and Insights Generation:
- Develop and apply predictive models to forecast market trends and consumer behavior.
- Use statistical techniques and machine learning to generate actionable insights for clients.
- Reporting and Presentation:
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Translate complex data findings into clear and actionable recommendations for clients.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analysis and analytics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Implement best practices to enhance data analysis capabilities.
Qualification, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Proven track record of delivering impactful insights from complex datasets.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools: Python or R.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, or Thoughtspot.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and predictive modeling.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights.
- Proactive mindset and ability to work independently.
