A renowned manufacturing and retail company, specializing in premium, design-led outdoor products, is seeking to expand its team in Cape Town with a skilled Factory Accountant .
The Factory Accountant will report directly to the Head of Finance and be responsible for maintaining all manufacturing input data essential for operational decision-making, as well as preparing our monthly management accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with inventory system controls and procedures to maintain data accuracy.
- Analyze and provide reports on material usage.
- Compile daily production and movement figures for all manufacturing areas.
- Monitor inventory movement processes and initiate corrective measures when necessary.
- Accurately document all rework activities.
- Provide precise reports on parts and WIP (Work In Progress) scrapping.
- Coordinate and assist with factory stock counts.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Report potential risks or concerns to management.
- Ensure compliance with regulations to avoid unnecessary expenditure, promoting responsible resource management.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost control and reduction.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma with Accounting or Finance as a major.
- Min of 2 years experience working with stock and/or inventory.
- In-progress CIMA designation or a completed professional designation would be advantageous.
Salary:
- R25k - R30k / month CTC
