A Marble & Granite Company is looking for a mature candidate with 10 - 15 years’ experience to fulfill the duties of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the financial management of construction projects, ensuring that costs are controlled, and budgets are met. They work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Management: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for construction projects. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project and identify areas where cost savings can be made.
- Contract Management: Administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Procurement: Source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for money.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks that may impact the successful delivery of a project. Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of these risks on project costs and timelines.
- Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization.
- Cost Reporting: Prepare regular reports on project costs, including cost-to-complete forecasts and variance analysis. Present financial updates to project stakeholders and senior management.
- Quantity Surveying: Measure and quantify construction work, including materials, labor, and equipment. Prepare bills of quantities and tender documents for procurement purposes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all construction works meet the required quality standards and specifications. Conduct quality inspections and audits as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
