ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are searching for a highly qualified Marketing Specialist to work closely with our team. From day one, this individual will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company and client goals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media. The marketing specialist must be an organised multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
Core Responsibilities:
- Paid Media:
- Formulate and execute comprehensive digital paid media strategies aimed at enhancing online reputation and driving business growth.
- Google Ads:
- Implement, manage, optimise, and scale Google Ads campaigns for eCommerce, awareness, and lead generation.
- Monitor and scale to meet sales and lead gen goals.
- Efficiently manage the Google advertising budget to ensure optimal allocation for maximum impact.
- Collect and segment 1st party data, mine audience insights, and create personalised advertising experiences.
- Facebook Ads:
- Develop, optimise, and scale Facebook Ads for eCommerce, awareness and lead generation.
- Monitor and scale ads to meet sales and lead gen goals.
- Must understand key terms like ROAS, Impressions, Clicks, POAS, CTR & Conversions.
- Efficiently manage the Facebook advertising budget to ensure optimal allocation for maximum impact.
- Collect and segment 1st party data, mine audience insights, and create personalised advertising experiences.
- SEO:
- Drive on-site and off-site SEO strategies focused on increasing high-value organic traffic.
- Implement and monitor SEO best practices to improve search rankings and online visibility.
- Conduct keyword research, analysis and selection to optimise web content & metadata.
- Very light working knowledge of HTML development.
- Graphic Design:
- Utilise Canva and Figma to create designs for social posts, website banners, marketing emails, in-store materials (e.g., posters, decals, flyers), and other ad hoc projects.
- Ensure designs align with company branding and marketing goals.
- Website Design & Optimisation:
- Implement front-end website improvements aimed at enhancing user experience and conversion rates.
- Identify opportunities for optimisation and A/B testing to increase conversions.
- Email Marketing:
- Design & implement conversion-focused email marketing campaigns.
- Monitor email marketing performance, including open rates, CTR, and overall campaign success.
- Social Media Management:
- Manage social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) including content posting, customer engagement, and responding to queries and complaints.
- Ensure best practices for increasing social engagement and brand visibility.
- Copywriting:
- Craft compelling copy for various platforms (ads, social posts, email marketing, retail) to drive conversions and engagement.
- Conversion Tracking & Analytics:
- Implement and monitor conversion tracking through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (GA4).
- Draw actionable insights from eCommerce and lead generation metrics to guide marketing strategies.
- Marketing Management:
- Plan and execute a retail marketing calendar.
- Ability to manage the marketing critical path and ensure deadlines are met.
- Oversee the execution of monthly marketing promotions, coordinating between designers, suppliers, and retail teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Ability to manage a marketing budget and scale it up or down.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Marketing or a related field.
- Proven experience managing Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and SEO for eCommerce.
- Experience with front-end website design and optimisation.
- Proficiency in email marketing, social media management, copywriting, and marketing automation tools.
- Solid understanding of conversion tracking and analytics (GA4, Google Tag Manager).
- Project management skills to manage monthly promotions across digital and retail channels.
- Excel Skills.
- Preferred:
- Certifications in Google Ads, Meta (Facebook) Ads, and Shopify.
- Experience with Shopify Flow, Zapier, and familiarity with tech products (laptops, phones, tablets, accessories).
- Experience with Figma and Canva.
Goals & Expectations:
- Develop, implement, and manage marketing strategies from start to finish both above and below the line.
- Optimise and scale marketing campaigns to drive online sales and lead generation.
- Report on marketing performance and provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Manage marketing budgets across digital and retail channels to maximise ROI.
- Brainstorm & think creatively to identify opportunities to grow the business.
