AWS Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg Metro, Johannesburg

Job Duties:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS infrastructure solutions.
- Managing and supporting AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure performance and resolving any issues.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of systems.
- Developing and implementing security measures to protect data and systems.
- Automating infrastructure processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Documenting and maintaining technical specifications and procedures.
- Providing technical support and guidance to team members and end-users.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an AWS Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure components.
- Experience in designing and implementing secure and scalable AWS solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
- Experience with database management systems, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Working Conditions:
This role operates in an office environment. The AWS Infrastructure Engineer may be required to work on-site or remotely, depending on project requirements. The position may involve occasional travel to client sites. The engineer should be able to work independently and collaboratively, following a flexible work schedule to meet project deadlines.
