The largest private authorised financial service provider in South Africa, and registered Credit Provider, offering micro loans through 230 stores nation wide, require an Area Manager for East London and the metropolitan area,
The main purpose of the job is to ensure the profitability of the stores, driving sales and improving collections, and ensuring Branch Managers and Staff are effectively trained and managed.
The ideal candidate will currently be working in the retail industry, and could be a Senior Branch Manager in a furniture group or in a FMCG company. Most important are Skills in Management, Credit Granting, knowledge of the processes of short term loans, sales and selling skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accountable for managing assigned branches
- Conduct regular visits and reviews of branch performance
- Ensure branches are profitable and exceed sales and collection targets
- Monitor, measure and report on the performance of all assigned stores and ensure open communication between branches and head office
- Responsible for recruitment , selection, onboarding, induction, performance management, coaching , discipline and adherence to all SOPs.
- Accountable for company policies and procedures
- Provide a professional and friendly service to all internal and external customers
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 Matric
- Maths Literacy
- Certificate/Diploma in Micro Lending Frontline Service (NQF 4)
- Certificate/Diploma in Generic Management (NQF 5)
- Understanding of Credit granting processes
- Basic knowledge of the National Credit Act
- At least 5 years experience in managing a team
- Min 3 years experience in the Micro Finance industry
- Computer Literacy
- Valid Drivers's License
- Strong human relations skills
- Ability to plan and organise
