Is this you?
In need of a Site Planner who understands and values SA’s need for Renewable Energy Success!
You are keen for a new, innovative challenge that will take your site planning career to the next level. You have always been driven to work closely with project managers and contractors while multi-tasking and being a part of a team that cares about culture and ethical practices. You understand what it means to work with large EPC projects and have a desire to deepen your knowledge within the Renewable Energy space.
What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
As an experienced site planner, you will be responsible for simultaneous planning of two sites in South Africa. This means our client is looking for the best of the best!
Apart from the usual reporting, updating, and planning, you will need to develop impeccable Project Schedules, Progress Updates, Facilitate Milestones, and Liaise with various teams and contractors.
Our client is looking for someone who can develop S-Curves, Look-ahead Schedules, and Report on Critical Path Activities with their eyes closed.
Overall, developing a Master Project Schedule that is achievable and realistic is your primary duty.
Where you’ll be doing it
Our client is a leader in the Renewable Energy space and a major IPP player in wind and solar projects developed across South Africa.
As part of the Umoliyanga Project, there are TWO sites that need your attention: Northern Cape site near Upington, and the Eastern Cape site near Kariega. You will be based at either and travelling between the two if needed over the 2-year contract duration to assess that the master schedule is running smoothly and achieving the milestones as scheduled.
What you’ll need
You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the construction industry (if you have renewable experience it’s a noticeable advantage) and preferably with a tertiary civils background. You know large construction and understand how to fit project planning and construction schedule interrogations into tight deadlines. And most importantly, you know your tools, and are more than comfortable with MS Office, MS Projects, and Primavera P6.
Simply put: you’re a star project planner!
What you’ll get
Over the course of this 2-year contract, you will have access to a site car + site benefits when required to be there. The rotation works as Monday to Friday (7am – 5pm) with Saturday (7am- 2pm) along with 1 long weekend a month off for R&R. And of course, a very nice market-related salary.
We appreciate that your CV might not be fully up to date. No problem just send us what you have.
We do respond to everyone! Just give us a few days to work through your application.
