The primary focus of this position is providing accurate cost information (product, project and other costs) that aids in decision-making processes, enabling management to identify areas of overspending, streamline operations, and maximize profitability. Analysing and tracking expenses to ensure optimal resource allocation and cost efficiency. Leveraging expertise in cost analysis, budgeting, and compliance, to play a crucial role in driving financial transparency, operational excellence, and strategic alignment within the organization.
KEY TASKS
- Conducting detailed analyses of production costs, overhead expenses and operational expenditures to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Monitoring inventory levels, valuing inventory, and analysing inventory costs to ensure proper inventory control and minimize carrying costs.
- Investigating variances between job actual and budgeted costs, identifying reasons for discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions to management.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance cost-effectiveness, and implement best practices in cost accounting and financial management.
- Utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other financial software to maintain accurate cost records, generate reports, and streamline financial processes.

Qualification
• Degree/diploma in cost and management accounting (or similar)
Experience & Knowledge:
• At least 3 years of cost and management accounting experience
• Relevant manufacturing industry knowledge and experience
• Computer proficiency in MS Office & ERP systems
• Mandatory Syspro experience
