Job Description:

Responsibilities include:

Assist with the bookkeeping of the rental income
Management of creditors/accounts/invoices
Update of monthly cash flows
Be responsible for bookkeeping of all authorised expenses
Assist the financial account with financial reports required for reporting purposes
Check that the rent is paid on time
Manage the arrears/debtors book
Put procedures in place to manage defaulting tenants
Work closely with the property manager and be indirectly responsible for the maintenance of all the properties in the property portfolio
Manage a maintenance schedule for each property in conjunction with the property manager
Ensure that all necessary services are performed and renewal of service agreements are entered into
Filing general paperwork
Maintain office supplies
Archiving electronic records and files and general file administration
Be responsible for general office housekeeping
Ordering stationary

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a bookkeeper
Good computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, emails, etc. Xero experience will be advantageous.
