A well-established Employers Organisation has an opportunity for an experienced IR Consultant to join them on a permanent basis. Offices are based in Muckleneuk, Pretoria area. This is a hybrid position, working Monday to Friday from 09:00 – 16:00.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and guidance on labor law matters to clients.
- Represent clients in CCMA proceedings, including conciliation, mediation, and arbitration.
- Assist clients in drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Conduct investigations into workplace disputes and grievances.
- Develop strategies for resolving labor disputes and minimizing legal risks for clients.
- Keep abreast of changes in labor legislation and provide updates to clients as necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver comprehensive HR and legal solutions.
- Prepare and present training sessions on labor law topics for clients and internal staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to client cases.
Minimum Requirements
- LLB degree or equivalent in Law would be highly advantageous.
- 2+ years working experience within the same or similar role dealing with the CCMA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with employment legislation and regulations in South Africa.
