Introduction
An exciting Facilities Supervisor opportunity for overseeing the maintenance and operation of buildings and equipment, coordinating repairs, enforcing safety measures, and managing a team of maintenance personnel based at Centurion Distribution Centre. The role will report directly to the Facilities Manager.
Job Purpose: Effectively manage company assets and provide a safe working environment at all sites. Control and manage all contractors/service providers' service delivery, financial and contract compliance, specifically related to the Centurion Distribution Centre.
Job Objectives:
- Effective management of Facilities, Contractors & Service Provider Staff and all resources and aspects relating to these departments at Centurion DC site.
- Assist with the implementation of complete safety policies and committees in accordance with OHSAct.
- Building and maintaining processes and procedures for each role within the department.
- Ensure that the facility is properly maintained and repaired on an ongoing basis.
- Implement and maintain safety and security protocols to protect the facility and its occupants, including fire safety, emergency preparedness, and access control.
- Ensure effective stakeholder communication, both internally and externally.
- Implement a proactive land and building maintenance program.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases; continuously improve the data captured, stored, and reported.
- Administration & Management of the Facilities and 4Me for services & facilities to provide management with effective and accurate reporting.
- Effective management and training of the staff.
- Complete KPAs for all staff timeously, indicating needs for training and development, performance management.
- Ensure professional and efficient customer contact.
- Provide monthly reports to the Department Head.
- Cost Centre accountability and management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary Education in a similar field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Junior/managerial position.
- 5 years experience in a Facilities Management Environment.
