Job Title: Marketing Consultant
An international company in the exhibition/trade show environment requires a dynamic Marketing Consultant to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Input into Strategy Formulation:
- Coordinating the development of strategies for all S.E. shows under PD direction.
- Manage implementation and control of plans as per the directive of the PD.
- Research topics relevant to strategy development on these projects.
Budgets:
- Responsible for administering approved marketing budgets; both exhibitions and corporate.
- Determine marketing budget forecasts for each show. Once finalized, ensure each show meets budget expenditure. Track invoicing and purchase orders related to this.
Digital/Social Media/Website/Database Management:
- Responsible for researching and coordinating information for all digital and social media campaigns.
- Crucial component of converting and aligning all traditional communication and branding tools to be fully aligned on all available digital platforms.
- Stay up to date with digital and social media trends and ensure that best practices in these formats are implemented across the business.
- Manage and update data sources across the business.
- Manage and coordinate the services of digital service providers like website developers, search kings, chat factory, PR suppliers, and other PD appointed suppliers.
Exhibitor Promotion of All Shows:
- Trade advertising, direct marketing, and sales support. Includes briefing of agencies, followed by implementation of selected promotional programme.
- Public Relations - develop and monitor relationships with trade journals and associations applicable to each exhibition.
- Delivery and coordination of all show briefings. Includes presentation to exhibitors.
Visitor Promotion of All Shows:
- Advertising - all aspects of advertising campaigns from agency brief to final implementation.
- Public Relations - manage a comprehensive publicity campaign including mainstream and trade media relationships. This function is reliant on the activities of a Public Relations consultant.
Research:
- Coordinate research requirements including quantitative and qualitative feedback on existing shows.
- Commission projects related to business development.
Advertising/Communications Consultants:
- Responsible for all activities of both Advertising Agency and Communications Consultants.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Degree / Diploma in Marketing / Advertising or related disciplines.
- Own car.
- 5 years experience in a similar role.
