The Job:
Working Hours:
- Saturday & Sunday 17:00-23:00 SAST
- Saturday & Sunday 08:00-16:00 SAST
- Monday - Friday 21:00-03:00 SAST
Your shift and classes are guaranteed and fully remunerated, meaning that even if no students come to class you still get paid your teaching rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide adult students in understanding the English language whilst delivering lessons based on pre-set lesson plans.
- Engage and encourage students positively in their English language learning journey.
- Provide students with constructive feedback during classes through the use of error correction techniques.
- Manage a classroom and provide feedback to students on their language proficiency.
Minimum requirements:
- A degree is required
- A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate is required
- 3 months of English teaching experience is preferred
- Great command of the English language (accent neutral)
- Computer literate and able to troubleshoot
Technical Requirements:
Internet Connection:
- A stable FIBRE internet connection- at a minimum of 25 Mbps upload and download speeds
- PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection
PC specifications:
- Processor: Intel Core i5 Six Generation Processor
- Quad Core CPU
- Memory: 8GB RAM or greater
Backup power system:
- Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS)/ Portable Power Staton with a battery life of up to4-5 hours(2000VA / 300 WH).
- A separate mini power supply system to power your fibre router as an independent system.
Other:
- Noise-cancelling headsets and HD web camera.
- Back-up headset is highly recommended
- Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment
