Job Objective:
• Liaise between Management and Cashiers.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of Cashiers to ensure smooth running of till points.
• Manage the shorts and overs at the points of sale, including floats.
• Train and assist new cashiers.
• To efficiently direct and control all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and efficient manner.
• To ensure Cashiers are trained, competent, motivated and directed to fulfil their duties whilst delivering service excellence at all times.
• To ensure sufficient staffing of the Cashiers in line with the work schedule/company roster, company policies and labour legislation.
• To timeously and efficiently resolve all customer queries in line with the company policy.
• To maintain updated knowledge on products, promotions and events in order to provide the correct information to customers at all times.
• Drive company vision and values.
Minimum requirements Qualifications and Experience:
• Grade 12 / Matric
• Minimum of 2 years cashier related work experience, of which 6 months should be shadowing a Cashier Supervisor
• Sound numerical skills
• Computer literate – MS Office
• Willing and able to work retail hours.
• Clear credit and criminal records
