Financial Accountant you will responsible for the following:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with local accounting standards, company policies, and regulations.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring transactions are correctly classified and recorded.
- Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies swiftly and effectively.
- Oversee the chart of accounts and suggest improvements to enhance financial clarity.
- Prepare management accounts and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Execute month-end and year-end closing processes with precision, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure financial accuracy.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and KPIs, providing insights and actionable recommendations to management.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial projections to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and drive financial efficiency.
- Support external audits and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Stay informed on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements to ensure continued compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and increase overall efficiency.
Job Experience and Skills Required: B.Com in Finance (completed).
SAIPA or SAICA articles completed.
1-2 years of post-articles experience in a financial accounting role.
Retail experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
