Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree in Human Resources or Industrial psychology.
- HPCSA registration as an Industrial Psychologist.
- Proven experience as an HR specialist in a leadership position of no less than 5 years, gained in a complex organisational environment, preferably in a Higher Education or similar sector.
- Experience establishing HR systems and technical solutions in complex contexts.
- Possess a strong understanding of legal frameworks around labour laws and employee relations.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director: People Management and Resources, you will:
- Provide oversight to the Senior Managers of Human Resources Operations, Talent Management and
Remunerations, Benefits and Shared Services.
- Lead and direct across all aspects of HR management and employee relations.
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and procedures, while driving initiatives around talent
acquisition, retention and motivational programs, compensation, performance management, talent and
leadership development, succession planning and employee engagement.
- Optimise the performance of staff and partners through institutional collaboration that supports the
University's mission of academic excellence, research innovation, student success, and systems
enhancement.
- Build and strengthen stakeholder relationships across boundaries and backgrounds.
