Sales Executive (Aviation Industry) required in Germiston.
The Sales Executive will oversee all sales activities within the company, relating to students, charters, contracts, ground crew operations, agricultural applications etc.
Building our principals brands and activities by maintaining and expanding the customer base and managing day-to-day sales and contract functions pertaining to activities in order to exceed sales expectations by firstly attaining and partnering with customers to ensure the long-term success of the Company.
You will be responsible for growing and developing new business and long-term relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders.
You will liaise between principals as required, customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our product offering and solutions according to customer needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed sales targets.
- Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts.
- Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers.
- Manage the sales, leasing and contracts with total accountability to meet the company’s budget and growth objectives understanding client’s needs.
- Identify, develop and evaluate new business opportunities at existing and new accounts, selectively convert them into new sales in order to expand the profitable market share of the company.
- Promote sales for our brands and companies in the group which our company/ies represent.
- Complete research on allocated and identified sale projects.
- Source, generate and follow up on business leads and opportunities and foster relationships with targeted existing and potential customers and aircraft owners/operators in order to promote the company as the preferred supplier in our target markets. (as per job summary)
- Action and contribute to the management of the designated Accounts by maintaining documentation, collecting money if necessary and handling customers’ complaints to deliver on the company’s expected customer service platform.
- Create, manage and amend price lists on all facets of the companies’ activities.
- Respond to and follow up on customer enquiries in order to convert to business.
- Work cooperatively with peers and management to ensure company sales targets and performance measures are achieved.
- Actively promote in conjunctions with the marketing department the company profile at conferences, trade shows, career days and industry seminars to foster/maintain client relationships in order to ensure an increase in the awareness and corporate identity of the company as the leading supplier in its market.
- Assist in the Marketing and responsible for sales of all activities.
- Provide info to marketing department on all events which require media coverage.
- Provide timely and accurate Monthly Activity Report to management for inclusion in report to management to effectively measure progress against agreed plans and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Reports will be completed as per company standards.
- Display a competent level of product knowledge to ensure accuracy of information is communicated to our customers.
- Actively manage the Companies’ data bases of its customers.
- Actively manage all agricultural applications and ground crew activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven sales management or other relevant experience including ability to develop new business
- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
- Well-developed set of technical – selling skills and account management skills and to adapt your style across the customer base.

- Ability to listen to specific customer/market needs and have the capability to convert customer problems to business opportunities.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
