Import Airfreight Supervisor
Hire Resolve's client is seeking an experienced Import Airfreight Supervisor to join their team in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding logistics and a thorough understanding of import airfreight operations.
Responsibilities: - Oversee the import airfreight operations, including receiving, routing, and dispatching shipments.
- Coordinate with carriers, customs agents, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Provide guidance and support to the import airfreight team, including training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
- Monitor and analyze import airfreight processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements, including customs clearance procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of import airfreight shipments and prepare reports for management.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant International Trade (Import Air) and freight forwarding experience.
- Dangerous Goods awareness.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import procedures, and airfreight documentation requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
