Job Overview
The role requires the candidate to actively manage the Institutional Shared Service team, a first line compliance team within Institutional Client Operations. The Shared Services team is responsible for oversight of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), Counter-Proliferation Financing (PF), Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), Common Reporting Standard (CRS), Data Protection, Complaints, and the Errors reporting control environment in Institutional Client Operations. They are also responsible for operationalising the implementation of regulatory controls and regulatory reporting. The control environment spans across four jurisdictions and nine accountable institutions.
The primary responsibilities include effective staff management, seamless coordination with key business stakeholders, effective management of regulatory projects, initiatives, reporting, and other applicable activities, and effective management of the regulatory environment to ensure soundness of controls, documentation of processes, and regulatory compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with Group Assurance to ensure successful implementation of changes to the regulatory environment caused by regulatory changes, changes to internal policies and standards, monitoring outcomes, and internal audit findings.
Manage the operationalisation and implementation of changes that relate to the control environment across operational procedures, processes, systems, and controls.
Collaborate and manage regulatory projects, initiatives, plans, and other relevant tasks with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation. This includes working with IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, participation in system design discussions, and driving user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure developed solutions meet business requirements.
Maintain and oversee the controls and activities owned by the Institutional Shared Service team and ensure that these have been completed in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with operational standards and procedures. These include:
- Oversee and ensure timely and accurate compilation of reports/submissions to applicable juristic regulatory bodies.
- Oversee timely execution of AML/CTF/PF, FATCA/CRS, and data protection controls owned by Institutional Shared Services.
- Oversee the reviewing of AML/CTF/PF, FATCA/CRS, and data protection controls in the client operations to ensure they continue to be adequately performed and are documented.
- Oversee the reviewing of existing AML/CTF/PF, FATCA/CRS, and data protection forms and procedures and the development of new operational procedures and forms as and when required.
- Oversee the performance of AML and FATCA/CRS operational monitoring tasks in alignment with established operational standards and procedures.
- Support in identifying and addressing regulatory training needs for institutional operations teams within agreed timelines. This includes the maintenance of training modules and the training repository.
- Produce monthly management compliance reporting to senior stakeholders.
