Ocean Freight Controller
Our client, a transport and logistics company, is looking for an Ocean Freight Controller, who will ensure compliance with the country’s customs, shipping regulations, quality requirements, and safety procedures. A dynamic and energetic person who can cope under pressure.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the country’s customs, shipping regulations, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
- Prepare shipping documentation for customs purposes.
- Execute and organize all activities related to the logistics for customers.
- Freight Forwarding in respect of specific transport movements.
- Ensure that all client requirements are met to the service level agreed and proactively communicate any potential issues.
- Provide quick and responsive service.
- Build relationships with the upstream and downstream supply chain, external service providers, and clients.
- Customs clearing.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Preferred Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in AIR, SEA, and Ocean Freight Handling Logistics or Supply Chain.
Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience in a similar position.
Proficiency in CARGOWISE is required.
Must have knowledge of INCOTERMS .
Experience with container sizes and freight forwarding/clearing space.
Package & Remuneration
30-35k (Negotiable)
