Job Purpose Research, analyses and evaluates requirements for Control & Instrumentation systems. Manage, Designs, develops, tests, Commissions and maintains Electrical, control & instrumentation systems and reviews the work done in cases where the activities are outsourced. Job Specification & Key Responsibilities Evaluates electrical, control and instrumentation systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research; applying knowledge of electrical engineering. Calculate, design, specify material for manufacturing and installation, and supervise the electrical design, manufacturing and installation of MCCs, PLC panels. Calculate, design and specify electrical back-up power systems, supervise installation and commissioning, setup generator controller systems and train clients on electrical systems. Commissioning, configuration and setting up of soft starters and drives. Compile overall project documents and equipment manuals with drawings. Develop and interpret Electrical engineering schematic drawings and information. Develop and complete products or materials datasheets. Analyse,interpret technical specifications and generate electrical, control and Instrumentation design as per specifications. To assist, when and as required, in project cost estimates for tender projects, or engineering services to aid management in bidding on or determining the price of projects or services. Confirms system's and components' capabilities of each project requirements. Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials Commissioning of Electrical systems. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; Supervise Design engineers, manufacturing process and commissioning. Professional Membership Preferred ECSA Candidate ECSA Pr. Eng /Pr. Tech Eng (Advantage) Required: Qualifications Grade 12. B-Tech / B-Eng Electrical Engineering Required: Experience Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
