Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Draughtsman to join a leading engineering team specialising in the design and detailing of advanced minerals processing plants. This contract role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, heavy fabrication projects in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities - Develop detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
- Translate engineering designs into precise, high-quality drawings for heavy fabrication.
- Collaborate with project engineers to ensure designs meet specifications and industry standards.
- Create detailed assemblies, component, and fabrication drawings specific to industrial plant components.
- Liaise with suppliers, fabricators, and contractors to ensure feasibility and manufacturability.
- Review and update drawings based on engineering feedback and project requirements.
- Maintain compliance with company drafting standards and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Support project teams with design modifications and technical calculations as needed.
Qualifications and Experience - Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Draughting, or related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years experience in draughting for minerals processing, heavy fabrication, or industrial plant projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for 2D and 3D modelling.
- Strong knowledge of heavy fabrication processes and materials.
- Familiarity with industry standards for minerals processing plant design.
