Are you a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a knack for managing complex financial processes and working in dynamic environments?
Join my client's team and take charge of essential accounting operations, including cashbooks, foreign currency transactions, financial reporting, and year-end audits.
This role is based in Illovo, Johannesburg North. Key Responsibilities
- Manage cashbooks and bank reconciliations for multiple entities in foreign currencies.
- Maintain and update the fixed assets register, including depreciation schedules.
- Process credit card transactions, monthly journals, and employee reimbursements.
- Ensure accurate recording of accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
- Provide analytical insights and financial reports to management and stakeholders.
- Assist with year-end audits and maintain compliance with IFRS and South African financial laws.
- Work effectively within group structures, including consolidations for foreign subsidiaries.
Education and Skills Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in Sage 300; SAP or Oracle NetSuite experience is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, foreign currency transactions, and group consolidations.
- Knowledge of South African financial laws and regulations.
