Autodesk Revit Plug-in Developer

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Autodesk Revit Plug-in Developer to design, develop, and deploy plug-ins that extend Revit’s capabilities and improve user efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with architects, designers, and BIM (Building Information Modeling) teams to deliver high-impact automation solutions. You’ll take ownership of creating innovative plug-ins that streamline workflows, enhance project accuracy, and add functionality to Revit for diverse project needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and code custom plug-ins for Autodesk Revit, delivering tailored solutions that address specific architectural, engineering, and design challenges
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams , including architects, BIM coordinators, and project managers, to gather requirements and deliver plug-ins that align with project goals
- Conduct performance optimization and ensure usability across Revit plug-ins, maintaining high standards for functionality, speed, and user experience
- Test, debug, and deploy solutions, ensuring high-quality performance and resolving any issues that arise post-deployment
- Document all custom plug-in development, including code, functionality, and user instructions to facilitate seamless team use and future maintenance
- Stay current on Autodesk Revit API updates and emerging architectural technology trends to continuously improve and enhance plug-in functionality
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Autodesk Revit API development
- Proficiency in C# or similar programming languages (e.g., Python for automation purposes)
- Experience with 3D modeling or architectural design tools, with an understanding of BIM workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop robust solutions
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical solutions to non-technical team members
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and experience in an Agile development environment is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Dynamo for Revit and other visual programming tools is highly desirable
- Experience with cloud-based solutions for Revit, including cloud storage and team collaboration tools (e.g., Autodesk BIM 360)
- Experience developing plugins that integrate with external software , enhancing Revit’s interoperability with other platforms or data sources
- Familiarity with CAD software APIs (e.g., AutoCAD API) to create a cohesive suite of solutions across design tools
