Duties & Responsibilities
Our Logistics Client is currently seeking a Fleet Dispatcher / Controller based in Wellington, Cape Town.
Effectively manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the drivers and vehicles within the business to maximize customer satisfaction by ensuring their vehicles arrive to collect and drop off per schedule, ensuring that all load details are captured on TMS on time.
Ideally fluent in Xhosa.
Requirements
- Matric
- 3 years of transport/fleet controller experience
- Other proven experience in fleet management
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily transport activities, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods.
- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Track fleet location using GPS systems, optimizing routes for efficiency.
- Liaise with drivers and clients to address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Prepare and maintain accurate transport records and reports.
