Job Title: Site Engineering Authority-Facilities and Assets (Electrical/Mechanical)

Salary:£45,628+ Dependent of skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- You will be responsible for specific systems including conducting site / asset walk-arounds, ensuring compliance with site License / Authorising conditions
- Delivery of engineering documentation to support asset and facility readiness in order to achieve programme Hold Points
- Understanding new requirements across the business and supporting requirements captures to ensure asset and facility performance meets programme and legislative requirements
- Providing engineering assurance across Projects, Operations and Maintenance
- Responsibility for asset management across defined assets, ensuring we are maintaining our assets throughout their lifecycle
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and supporting the site modification process
- Verifying engineering calculations, analysis, designs and other documentation, to ensure compliance and validity
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Degree in Engineering discipline is essential
- Have experience with Asset Management and Facilities Management
Desirable
- Experience with Management of Nuclear classified systems including but not limited to Design, Operation and/or Modifications
- Experience in related industry such as; Nuclear, Oil and Gas etc. would be advantageous

The Site Engineering Authority:
Join us as a Principal Engineer in an exciting role where you’ll provide engineering assurance across site projects, processes, and operations. You’ll be part of a talented team of 35 professionals, organized into four specialised groups focusing on Facilities, Ship Lift and Transfer, Radiological, and Nuclear Substantiation. This position offers exposure to high-profile programs such as SSNA, AUKUS, Dreadnought, and Astute, ensuring that our facilities and assets meet requirements for future projects. Acting as a verification function, the team ensures compliance with statutory regulations, site license conditions, and company procedures. With opportunities for career advancement, you could develop into an Engineering Management role when the time is right. We also offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility.
