A well-established infrastructure company is looking to permanently add a highly skilled Group Financial Accountant to their finance team. The main focus of this role is to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective management of group consolidations, audits, and financial processes. The incumbent need to be able to function in a fast pace environment and be adaptable.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Calculate, reconcile, and file tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Compile and submit group reporting templates and required documentation.
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and prepare financial reporting packages.
- Prepare and submit consolidated financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Analyse divisional management accounts for accuracy and reasonability.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end financial reporting processes efficiently.
- Assist in preparing consolidated financial presentations for executive and board meetings.
- Support external audits, ensuring smooth processes from planning to finalization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and support business growth.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements: - CA(SA) accreditation is essential.
- 3 to 5 years commercial experience is essential.
- Construction, mining, or engineering industry experience is essential.
- Proven experience with group consolidations, IFRS reporting, and drafting financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of income tax regulations and compliance.
