The Manual Machinist will dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble compressors, turbines, turbochargers, gearboxes, and other machinery, while operating both conventional and CNC machine shop equipment. Your role will include interpreting technical drawings, conducting quality checks, and supporting field service teams. You'll be expected to uphold EEE's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace.

As a workshop Machinist / Technician, we would expect you to:
- Dismantle, inspect, repair and re-assemble compressors, turbines, turbochargers, gearboxes, and other rotating machinery and components.
- Follow Elliott HSE policy and rules to maintain the high level of Health and Safety for everyone within the Elliott premises.
- Interpretation of technical drawings and the ability to follow and complete jobs per engineering instructions.
- Independently operate machine shop equipment including lathes, vertical borers, and surface grinders for both conventional and CNC.
- Able to set up machine, with correct tooling, to undertake machining activity to desired quality.
- Manufacture component parts to assist in assemble/disassemble rotating equipment in line with engineering instructions.
- Ensure output is in full conformance to requirements of work instructions, procedures, quality standards and specifications.
- Complete all records as required by the work instructions and procedures.
- Steam clean and/or shot-blast equipment in preparation for commencement of work.
For the Manual Machinist, you will need
- Proven experience in a mechanical manufacturing/repair environment with ideally 3-5 years industry experience. Ideally an engineering qualification or evidence of a previous apprenticeship
- To be able to interpret detailed instructions, engineering drawings and technical reports
- Good engineering skills and experience in conventional machining (Turning, Boring and Drilling machines)
- Effective communication skills
