Our client is looking for a Womenswear Designer. You'll work closely with the design team, sourcing materials, developing
sketches, and bringing ideas to life from concept through to finished product. Your designs will influence everything from
seasonal collections to everyday essentials.
What You'll Do:
Stay ahead of industry trends by researching market movements, fabrics, colors, and styles to ensure collections are innovative and relevant.
Create mood boards, sketches, and tech packs to develop seasonal collections, from ready-to-wear to high-end fashion pieces.
Work closely with fabric suppliers to choose the right materials that align with design vision and production feasibility.
Partner with the pattern makers, sample makers, and production teams to ensure designs are executed with precision, and that garments fit and function as intended.
Oversee the entire process of garment creation, from initial sketches to fabric sourcing to fitting samples and final production.
Maintain a strong connection to the brand's identity while creating unique, stylish pieces that captivate and inspire customers.
What We're Looking For:
At least 3-5 years of experience as a womenswear designer, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates your skills in both creative design and technical knowledge.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software. Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric sourcing.
A keen eye for fabric textures, color palettes, and a deep understanding of fit and proportions.
An instinct for forecasting trends and translating them into practical, wearable designs that appeal to a contemporary audience.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with different teams across design, production, and merchandising
