Job Description:
Are you a skilled procurement professional with a keen eye for quality and cost-efficiency? We are looking for a motivated Buyer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in sourcing top-notch products for our innovative FMCG company.
Location: Montague Gardens, Cape Town
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, from sourcing and selecting suppliers to negotiating contracts and placing orders.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and production, to understand product needs and optimize inventory levels.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and drive value for the company.
- Monitor stock levels and forecast future purchasing needs to minimize shortages and excess inventory.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers and opportunities for cost savings
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
