Are you a meticulous and technically skilled Estimator with a knack for interpreting project drawings and calculating accurate steel and timber costings?
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team, where your expertise will play a crucial role in supporting our operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring integrity, responsiveness, and continuous communication.
- Accurately interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Calculate costs for materials, labor, and equipment for various projects.
- Leverage your market knowledge to develop precise and competitive cost estimates.
- Review and verify estimates for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a detailed materials order register.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to support effective project planning and execution.
- Communicate regularly with other divisions within the supply chain to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide support to the estimating & costing and imports & exports divisions.
Qualifications & Experience: Essential:
- Grade 12
- Relevant experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically in timber, steel, or light metal fabrication.
- Relevant tertiary education or currently pursuing a qualification.
- Experience with Syspro.
