Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate processing of expenses to correct General Ledger accounts
- Create new ledger accounts in the General Ledger
- Prepare journal entries
- Perform intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain and updating the Fixed Asset Register
- Preparing fixed asset purchase approval documents
- Overseeing the full creditor's function
- Responsible issuing of purchase orders for approved orders
- Daily capturing of bank transactions
- Prepare bank reconciliations, petty cash, VAT inventory reconciliations
- Prepare and submit the VAT201
- Manager monthly analysis of fleet cards and allocation of fuel cost
- Assist with the preparation of supporting documents for relevant SARS audits
- Assist with audit file preparation for both internal and external auditors
Requirements:
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- BCom degree in Accounting or Finance
- A minimum of 2 -3 years' experience in an accounting role
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Nav (advantageous)
- Computer literate with experience in MS Office and MS Excel intermediary to advance level
